Emery paper with standard width 610 mm. is spiral-wound onto this roller and held at the correct tension by an automatic stretch-compensatory device.
- Support roller with special rubber coating, whose hardness and type vary depending on the buffing procedure;
- Mechanical drive for cylinder oscillating movement;
- Hydraulic opening and closing with all components installed in protected positions, running on rolling bearings:
- Opening and closing pedal, with gradual control or two set positions;
- Hydraulically operated feed system with speed continually adjustable from 0 to 28 m/1’;
- Decimal regulation of thickness with read-off of value set;
- Device operating on both sides providing rapid adjustment by 3 tenths in either direction of the position of the support-roller in relation to the buffing cylinder;
- Automatic blending device both at beginning and at the end of each pass;
- Upper hide-retainer roller to ensure reliable feed with no effort from the operator;
- Automatic hide-braking device allows continuous processing with no damage to the last section of the hide;
- Total dust exhauster system with upper and lower suction intakes;
- Hide conveyor belt with option of hide offload to front or rear, hydraulically operated with speed automatically varied in relation to feed speed;
- Intrinsic operator safety devices throughout the processing zone with continual electronic monitoring of efficiency. The device opens the machine and stops the rollers by means of electro-magnetic disk brakes;
- Electrics housed in sealed cabinet with auxiliary voltage 24 Volts, complying with international safety standards;
